Creating a New Project
Make sure that you create each intro project in a separate project folder. While not absolutely necessary, we highly recommend copying all the image files that you will be using for your presentation into this project folder. This makes backing up the project and subsequent modifications to the presentation easier.
The Project Assistant
The Project Assistant will take you step-by-step through the intro-project creation process. Select the Project Assistant by selecting "Project - new" from the menu bar or by clicking on the corresponding button in the toolbar. The Project Assistant starts.
The Project Assistant's first dialog window asks you to select the project folder. Here you can use the "Browse..." button to either create a folder or select an existing folder.
Please note: Except from the project folder, you will be able to change all other settings later. All the following parameters contain sensible pre-set values.
You can define all the Player window parameters using the "Player Window" dialog. You will find more detailed information about this on the following page: The Player Window
You can use the "Show Control" page to define how you would like the presentation to run and end. You will find more detailed information about this on the following page: Presentation Control
You can use the "Sound" dialog window do define a sound file. You will find more detailed information about this on the following page: Background Sound
You can use the "Contact Info" dialog window to define several lines of text, which can be called up using the Player's pop-up menu. You will find more detailed information about this on the following page: Contact Information
Information about the file is displayed when a mouse right clicks on a file in Windows Explorer. Windows XP displays this information in a tool-tip window as soon as the mouse cursor runs over the file entry. You will find more detailed information about this on the following page: Your Own File Information
In the "Program Start" dialog window you can define the program (.exe) that you would like to start after the intro has ended. Make sure that the path entered is relative to the IntroPlayer.
You can use the "Project Completion" dialog window to select an option that allows you to copy a starter application into the project folder. You will find more detailed information about this on the following page: The IntroStarter
Click on the "Finish" button to save your new project in the project folder that you defined in the Assistant's first window.
